Cannabigerol (CBG) is one of more than 120 identified cannabinoid compounds found in the plant genus Cannabis. Cannabigerol is the non-acidic form of cannabigerolic acid, the parent molecule from which other cannabinoids are synthesized. Cannabigerol is a minor constituent of cannabis. Although CBG can be found in cannabis strains it's usually in very small quantities compared to CBD and THC which a plant can produce in abundance. In recent studies CBG has shown huge potential and could be the most therapeutic of all cannabinoids. As with CBD (Cannabidiol), CBG has an array of therapeutic value without intoxicating effects but is generally expensive due to the difficulty of producing it.
